I'm a writer, commissioning editor, and somebody's mother, but not in that order. Writing on arts, entertainment, travel and lifestyle, I've contributed to newspapers including The Guardian, The Independent and the International Business Times. Magazines I've written for include High Life, Condé Nast Traveller, Supplement, SPIN, Elle, MOJO, Women's Health, Men's Health, Metropolitan, Gulf Life, N by Norwegian, Selections... and tens of others over the last decade-and-a-bit. I've also created editorial for the Living Wage Campaign, British Airways, the Royal Albert Hall, MTV, Lastminute and others.
I'm Editor (English) for the Iberia portfolio of magazines and a Contributing Editor of High Life magazine. I was also the Editor of The London Magazine and of Hotline magazine for Virgin, and I have been creating editorial one way or another since self-publlishing a rather chaotic riot girl 'zine as 15-year-old.
Much of my work is profile features and my interviewees over the last decade have included plenty of actors (Kim Cattrall, Liv Tyler, Eddie Redmayne, Damian Lewis, Mena Suvari...) and musicians (Ronnie Wood, Debbie Harry, Dolly Parton, Marianne Faithfull, Suzanne Vega, Goldfrapp, Brett Anderson...) but also all kinds of people in the arts, politics and public life. I like to think I'm the only person to have interviewed both Peter Andre and Peter Tatchell – but I'm probably not.
